In celebration of its 50th Anniversary, the Zonta Club of the Pikes Peak
Area donates to the Colorado Springs, Colorado, Penrose Library, a sugar
maple seedling. This seedling is a direct descendant from a tree at the
childhood home of Amelia Earhart in Atchinson, Kansas.
The Zonta Club of the Pikes Peak Area has participated in many
community
literacy projects during its 50 years of service. Present at the planting
are Zonta club members and the Associate Director of the Pikes Peak Library
District.
