Rosalie Dorland has recently returned to Colorado after being away for seven years in Western Massachusetts. She has transferred her membership back to the Pikes Peak Area Zonta Club from the Quaboag Valley Club. She was president of the Quaboag Valley Club from 1998 - 2000 and president of the Pikes Peak Club 1992 to 1994. Rosalie has been a Zontian since 1986 and still believes in Zonta's mission.
Though she grew up in Pueblo, Rosalie has lived in Colorado Springs, Denver, Casper, WY, Fairbanks, AK, and Monson, Massachusetts. She is currently living in Lakewood, but there is promise that her job will be bringing her back home to Colorado Springs in the near future. She is enjoying reuniting with many of her former friends and acquaintances.
Rosalie has had a diverse career path which has included: banking, life and health insurance sales and management, real estate, and now is embarking on a career in corporate housing.
One of the reasons for returning to Colorado is to be with her children; daughter, Bonnie, who is married and living in Lakewood, and son, Michael, who lives with grandson, Anthony in Colorado Springs. She brought with her, seven year old Amelia, her pet beagle (named, of course, after Amelia Earhardt).
Hobbies include her love of working and being with people, animals, golf, music (singing and playing trombone), travel, and adventure.
Most of all, she says she is very happy to be back in Colorado.
