PEAK VIEW!

from Rosalie
mountains

It seems that often during the day, and some times in the night, my thoughts turn to our club and the exciting, and sometimes scary, course we have taken for this year. None of us can make the Glass Slipper Ball happen alone, but together, with everyone giving their best, we will make it happen and we will be proud of our success and all the wonderful things we can accomplish with the money we will make. I believe that this challenge will unite us more than ever before.

Our June meeting seemed to be a time of coming together as a sisterhood enjoying the many talents and experiences of each one there. It is so wonderful to have the quality visitors and new members we have had attend our meetings. I would like us all to get to know each other better.

Thank you for giving me the opportunity to serve as your president for this very special year. I look forward to all the things we will accomplish.

During the July meeting, you all will have the opportunity to choose the committees you wish to work on. Please select more than one so all of our committees will be covered. Oh, yes, and don't forget, each committee needs to have a chair person.

Also, we are counting on your help with the Glass Slipper Ball committees.

We will have our next meeting at Antonio's Italiano Ristorante, 301 Garden of the Gods Road. Don't forget that we will be meeting on Tuesday, July 18th, and we will take a vote at this meeting to establish our meeting day for the year.

Fasten your seat belts everyone. We are being launched to a new level, and I think we are going to like it!

Respectfully,

-Rosalie

Service Committee Reminder

Please don't forget these opportunities to contribute to our community. Used cell phones are refurbished for abused women to call 911. Hotel toiletries help the homeless and empty food containers - even 1 cup yogurt containers - carry leftovers from the soup kitchen. Bring any and all to the meetings. As you clean cupboards and closets and travel this summer, remember these recycling tips from the service committee. -Kris W.

Sad news from Gillette

Kathy Novak of the Zonta Club of Gillette passed away, 6/28/06. Kathy was involved in a car wreck the first week in June and suffered serious injury to her neck. She was in critical condition but seemed to be getting better. Then she started hemorrhaging and when they did a brain scan, they found it was massive, and she passed away shortly thereafter.
Please remember her family in your prayers.

Do you have a completed home and or business inventory?
Taking video or still pictures is advisable and
here is an inventory form from Gail P. to get you started! Inventory Form
