The Pikes Peak Area Zonta Foundation is organized exclusively for charitable purposes, to carry out the charitable objectives of the Zonta Club of the Pikes Peak Area of El Paso County including the provision of service at the global and local level and to support charitable organizations that advance the charitable objectives of Zonta International Foundation.

2013 - 2014 Charitable Support

Local:  
Young Women in Public Affairs Award which recognizes a young woman's (age 16- 20) commitment to the volunteer sector, volunteer leadership achievements and dedication to the advancement of the status of women. $ 2,000
TESSA, A Community Without Domestic Violence and Sexual Assault to maintain a program of Life Skills classes for the women living in the Safe House which Zonta helped begin in 2008. 3,000
Women's Resource Agency of Colorado Springs - Their mission is to help women of all ages attain and maintain self-sufficiency through individual planning & consultation, classes, groups, a career corner, a school program and more. 2,000
Human Trafficking - The Zonta Club of the Pikes Peak Area Project to support a grassroots effort to educate the public about human trafficking happening locally, to create and maintain a list of active resources for law enforcement, to provide much needed services to trafficked victims, to advocate on all levels for the humane treatment of trafficked victims and to prevent trafficking in the future. 1,000
Zonta Scholar Program - The Zonta Scholar Program provides a $5,000 award to a non-traditional woman student (age 25 or older) seeking a degree at the University of Colorado in Colorado Springs. In cooperation with the KPWE Program at UCCS, a strong mentoring component provides encouragement and support. The combination produces graduation rates above 85%, compared to the average of 23% for non-traditional students without support. 5,000
Trampled Rose - Women for Women Foundation, providing shelter, food , education training and care to many of the world's poorest women awaiting admittance to the Fistula Hospital, Addis Ababa in Ethiopia. 5,000

International Service Fund (Prevention of Mother-to-Child Transmission of HIV in Rwanda; the Safe Cities for Women Project in Guatemala City, Guatemala and San Salvador, El Salvador; and the Reduction of Obstetric Fistula in Liberia), ZISVAW (Zonta International Strategies to End Violence Against Women)and Rose Fund 3,000
