Join us as we celebrate the life of Amelia Earhart, one of our early founding members. We do that this year by hearing from two local women who exemplify the qualities of determination and courage that have led Zontians to admire Earhart and to aspire to be a bit like her.

OUR GUEST SPEAKERS

Jes Meiris
was born and raised in Colorado Springs and was inspired to engage in the outdoors at a very young age by highly active parents. She recently became the first woman to climb the great face of El Capitan in Yosemite Valley alone and in a single push (without sleeping). Jes is eager to share her stories and tips on how a little determination, mental fortitude, and the power of human connection can go a long way in accomplishing life's big goals, which includes breaking some world records.

Briana Winslow was born and raised in Syracuse, NY. At the age of two, she learned how to ski. Falling in love with the sport at an early age, Briana participated in a youth racing program and then went on to become a ski instructor. In 2013, she moved to Colorado to attend the United States Air Force Academy, where she encountered many challenges, physical and mental. As a freshman cadet, Briana joined the USAFA Alpine Ski team where she rediscovered her love of speed and ski racing. Now in her third year at the Academy, she is starting the ski season in the beautiful Colorado mountains. She is very excited to share her experiences as a ski racer, and as a cadet, and how she has tackled adversity in both realms of her life.

The program is open and free to the public. 3 Margaritas is located at 3956 Academy Blvd.
Dinner is available for purchase.
